Ponder Health has provided an uncommon level of personalized care for its patients since Danny and Nell Ponder first opened the doors for business in 1979. Our name, Ponder Health, is indicative of our comprehensive approach to patient wellness. We believe that traditional prescription medicines play a vital role in recovering and maintaining a patient’s health, but we work with doctors and other health practitioners to address the panorama of issues that contribute to sickness and disease. We take issues of prevention, nutrition, and lifestyle very seriously and realize that “more meds” isn’t always the best answer. We want our patients to stay healthy and active, enjoying life to its fullest. When, inevitably, our patients do get sick, we work tirelessly to help them get well sooner by customizing treatments and therapies for each individual. Danny Ponder, PD, has received the Wyeth Bowl of Hygeia Award, given annually to the pharmacist in each state who best exemplifies a commitment to community service. Danny is Vice Chairman of the Board of the Mountain Home Christian Clinic and enjoys participating in medical mission trips, having traveled most often to the Pantanal region of southwestern Brazil. Danny and his wife Nell, a retired Mountain Home school teacher and long-time School Board member, are active members of East Side Baptist Church and have three grown children and three grandchildren. ----- |
